is of course as always, a wonderful thing.
I watched Walk the Line tonight, I bought the DVD ages ago but only just got around to viewing it. I bought it because it had strong connections for me with my Dad. He adored the Man in Black and in my younger day I wasn't quite sure why. I suspect that it had something to do with the fact that he thumbed his nose at the "establishment" though of course it's too late now to ask him. But I have to say in watching it, I loved every minute of the music, I knew the words line for line and it was a mixed bag of pain and pleasure.
Soooo off to Amazon to buy Live at St Quentin, and an apology to my Dad - I was young, I was blinkered, I didn't appreciate his talent - I do now Dad - thanks for introducing me to John R Cash!!

as much as I hate to admit it, my parents had some decent taste in music too... Mr Cash being one of them... perhaps the most wonderful thing about music, that it conjures up so many memories...
Hi Mandy, how's things, thanks for all your lovely comments. Sorry but im not big on Mr Cash {i dont know his music} please forgive me!! lol Hope to get to Steff's scrapbooking monthly kit class next month , enjoy your weekend xx
brilliant film, nice to ahve a connection with your dad too :)
One of my all time fave movies, Mandy. What took me by surprise was how mainstream JC was; early tours with Elvis and the rest of that early rock'n'roll generation. I wrongly assumed him to be solely a country artiste. And didn't River Phoenix do him proud!
...... and of course you know I meant Joachim!
